Professional Experience:
With 25 years of teaching experience at Christopher Newport University , most of them as Director of Social Work or Chair of the Social Work Department, Mrs. Mathews has developed expertise in the professional accreditation of undergraduate social work education programs. She serves as a site visit chair for the Council on Social Work Education and has overseen the initial and all subsequent reaffirmations of accreditation of the social work program at CNU since 1982.
